Zip Lining

For those who want to get a little more excitement from their visit and experience that adrenaline rush, zip lining is a fitting option. Come to Chaguaramas, Trinidad for a zip line experience of a life time. Soar high above the ground from point to point as you take in some of the most breath taking views of the North West peninsular, located in the lush green forests of Macqueripe bay. There are 5 canopies, net bridges and 7 zip lines, with the longest being 400ft and suspended 120ft above ground at its highest point. The guides are all highly qualified to ensure your safety. There is also ample police presence together with a 24/7 camera control to monitor vehicles. No tourist should leave the island without trying this. This is fun for the entire family.

  1. I have to admit that I am a little uneasy when it comes to heights. But after reading this post I decided to call them and find out some more information on it, I got convinced that it was infarct safe and that the persons who where strapping you in are trained and know what they are doing. So I went to try it, I got to say I was terrified at first because I rather be as close to the ground as possible. They strapped me in and reassured me that I was safe and then I took the big jump. I was still a little scared as I was zipping across but I loved it and I am going back next week.

  3. I did all 7 of the zip lines, my favorite was the 6th zip line. Really nice view and just like you said the beach is right there so after when I was done with the zip line I went straight to the water.

  5. I am sure the Author of this Blog doesn't mind me giving a lil History of Zip Lining. :)

Zip Lining was used a mode of transportation and was first mentioned in the book “The Invisible Man” by H. G. Wells published in 1897. Wells wrote of a man riding on a cable called ‘an incline strong’ that allowed him to travel at intense speeds over difficult terrain. Zip lines are now a source of fun and is a major attraction in many tourism destinations and has now found its way on Macqueripe Beach, Chaguaramas Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago with the help of the Tourism Development Company (TDC) and Chaguaramas Development Company Limited.

  6. I have never tried it and I am still very much excited to do so. After hearing from friends and family how exciting it is I can't wait :) :) :). I know it requires people who are not afraid of heights (MIGHT be one of those people) but still willing to try it.

I think this is a great experience for any Trini and Tourist/Visitor from another country. As the Author rightfully said, "no tourist should ever leave this island of Trinbago without Zip Lining ."

This is another great Tourist Attraction for the ones who want to get a little more excitement from there visit and to get the adrenaline rush. Again the TDC can to more to make this know to a wider audience. They cannot just depend on the website as it can only do so much.

We need to use Travel Agencies, Hotels as means of capturing tourist who come through those sectors of the country including advertising on a larger scale. To add to advertising on a larger scale, a "Tagline" is another thing that can be tried.
